About Our Pastor
Dr. Daniel Heeringa
Daniel R. Heeringa was born in Anchorage, Alaska to a military family. He received the Lord as his Savior and was baptized at an early age. He was raised in a faithful, churchgoing home.
He graduated from Berea High School and enrolled at Gardner-Webb University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies. Later, he then received a Master of Divinity degree from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary.
God called Daniel to preach at his home church of Bethel Baptist in Greenville when he was 18 years old. He previously served as a youth minister in Mississippi and South Carolina. Daniel has served in many different leadership roles outside of the walls of the Church, including being a member of local school, charity, and state executive boards, the Southern Baptist seminary, and other state and national committees.
Daniel’s hobbies include hiking the Appalachian Trail, football, a good cup of coffee, and a good book. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He has served in volunteer chaplaincy with prison ministries, the sheriff’s office, disaster relief efforts, and high school and college football.
