To become a member of the church, a person must have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, confessed their faith in Him through believer’s baptism by immersion, and be committed to living a life of faith and obedience under the Lordship of Christ. Candidates for membership will meet with the pastor in order to discuss matters related to their relationship to Christ, baptism, and acceptance of the church’s Statement of Faith and Church Covenant. All of these issues will be covered in the Discovery Class.

After meeting with the pastor, individuals may offer themselves as candidates for church membership during any regular worship service in any of the following ways:

1. By a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and a commitment to being baptized by immersion, according to the policies of this church.

2. By a letter of transfer from another Baptist church of like faith and practice.

3. By a statement of a prior conversion experience, which was followed by believer’s baptism.

4. By immersion in a church of like faith and practice.
