Preschool Ministry
At Pickens First Baptist Church, our Preschool Ministry is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment for our youngest attendees. We offer ministry times on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights during Awana, and Wednesday nights, giving children multiple opportunities to experience the love of Jesus through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Safety & Security
The security of every child is our top priority. Parents check their children in at our secure check-in station, where they receive a unique badge that must be presented at pickup. This ensures that each child is only released to the appropriate guardian. Additionally, all volunteers undergo a thorough background check and vetting process before serving in our ministry.
Age-Appropriate Learning & Care
We place children in small groups based on age and ability level, allowing them to engage in Bible-based lessons, interactive play, and worship in a way that is meaningful to them. Our dedicated volunteers are members of our church who are passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with young children.
Our Preschool Ministry makes the following our top priorities:

Kids
1st Grade - 5th Grade
Kids Ministry
At Pickens First Baptist Church, our Kids Ministry provides a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where 1st-5th grade children can grow in their faith and understanding of God’s love. Through worship, Bible study, and discipleship, we aim to help kids build a strong foundation in Christ while having fun and forming meaningful friendships.
Ministry Times & Check-In Locations
✔️ Sunday Mornings (Life Groups - 9:00 AM) – Kids check in at the Kids Area below the sanctuary for age-appropriate Bible study and small group discussions that help them apply Scripture to their lives.
✔️ Sunday Mornings (Kid Worship - 10:30 AM Worship Hour) – Kids check in at the Kids Area below the sanctuary before heading into a dynamic and interactive worship experience designed just for them.
✔️ Sunday Nights (Awana & Kids Choir) – Check-in is at the main entrance of the Fellowship Hall. Kids participate in Awana, where they dive deeper into Scripture memorization and discipleship, and Kids Choir, where they develop a love for worship through music.
✔️ Wednesday Nights (Midweek Discipleship & Worship) – Check-in is at the Kids Area below the sanctuary, where children engage in Bible-based lessons, worship, and activities that help them apply their faith to everyday life.
Safety & Security
The safety of every child is our top priority. Our check-in process ensures a secure drop-off and pick-up, with separate check-in areas for preschool and elementary-aged children. All volunteers are background-checked and carefully vetted church members who are committed to creating a loving and secure environment for kids.
